Ugh. It's not very hot anymore, not after the downpour of rain we got two days ago. However, water means mosquitoes. Grr... It looks like I have this little red pimple underneath my right eye but really, it's a mosquito bite and frankly, it's quite annoying. I mean it. It is.

To answer a certain brother's question, Julie's dad had to go to London because he was speaking and I'm assuming she went with. Make sense?

Hmm... what else is there? I turned in my Bio TA application though I have a feeling I may not get the job and will continue working at the hospital and end up having to finish analyzing a WHOLE bunch of data. We'll see... I don't see how I'm supposed to incorporate SNAP scores into my BA when 1) all the SNAP stuff is incomplete and 2) my BA is in HISTORY. But then again, I'm sure there have been crazier things that have happened. (If you are wondering what a SNAP score is, it's just a number that is supposed to be a way of assessing a baby's physical condition.)

Supposed to go shopping today, just like I was SUPPOSED to go out yesterday. We'll see if it happens today. I have a feeling it will. It's really beautiful outside. Quite amazing actually how pretty it is and it's SO nice. I mean that. There's an amazing breeze.

So I am totally looking forward to my trip to NY because I will 1) get to see my brother 2) get away temporarily from my parents 3) be seeing the Lion King on Broadway, and 4) get to go shopping where there is NO TAX on clothes! (Why can't Chicago be that way?) And sadly, when I return, I have school stuff galore to attend to that I really don't want to deal with. Not that I don't care about the organizations that I'm a part of, but ugh... I just don't want to think about school. Though it IS MY LAST YEAR in COLLEGE!!! (Don't my siblings feel old??? ha ha ha!)

I'm almost finished reading the Two Towers. It's pretty interesting. I couldn't wait until the movie comes out next year. I need to know what happens. Pathetic isn't it? Though I have a feeling that the movie might be better than the book because there is a lot of detail that isn't pertinent to the storlyine.

All right, I think I'm going to go make myself presentable (as in, change out of my pajamas. hee hee...)

Still working on my bio TA application. Why can't it just be straightforward? On a brighter note, I found an old paper in my mailbox so I don't have to set up my computer. Yeah! and I retyped my resume (it doesn't take that long when you have a copy of it next to you) so that's all done too. Woo hoo!

WHY IS IT SO HOT!?!? I think part of me melted today. NO joke. It's so disgustingly hot. I can't wait for it to rain.

Let's see... someone told me today that hand washing clothes is not hard work. It is! Seriously. Especially when you're washing stuff that is part lambswool. That's the worst because the clothes shed like nothing else when they're wet, and you are trying to wring the water out and you get covered in wet fabric and it starts to shed on you... it's terrible. So to that person who said that it is not hard work, hand washing garments, you're wrong! Hmmph!

Tomorrow I have work. Friday, I am hoping to go to Target to get items to store my clothes in. Saturday, I have no plans. Maybe I'll start packing. hee hee... although I haven't figured out how big of a bag to use because the suitcase I normally travel with is not empty and neither is my small travel suitcase. Dilemma, dilemma. I got the NYC guidebook though in the mail today. So many places to go... I am DEFINITELY going to make a stop at Gray's Papaya and not get tricked into going anywhere else afterwards! (*hint* *hint*)

I'm still melting. It's so fricking hot. In a month, it'll be fall so why isn't it cooling down? This is very troubling because in the dorm, it'll be nasty hot if the weather is like this and I doubt the air conditioning will be working. (Though I hope it is! hee hee...)

All right, I'm not saying much so I think I'll get going. (Besides, L & O is on T.V tonight along with American Idol! and have I mentioned I don't like the Cubs? Stupid game on T.V last night so I couldn't get my Gilmore Girls!!! Grrr...)

Okay. So I got the application for being a Core Bio TA. Does anyone out there know how to answer the question, "at what stage of academic residence are you at?" My friends and I think it is just asking for what year in school you're in, but who asks that question in such a manner!?!? So confusing. When someone says, "residence" I think, "home, where a person lives." Crazy.

Anyhow! yesterday I went downtown and I've learned my lesson. I am not going to wear my clunky sandals EVER again. But downtown was interesting. I didn't really find anything I really wanted to buy. (Big surprise.) I think I've done all my shopping for the summer. Seriously. No wait. I'm on a mission to acquire enough underwear so I don't have to worry about laundry while I'm at school. =) You laugh now, but when you have meetings and labs and meetings during the week, it is very hard to find time to do laundry.

I really don't know what to blog about. Just found out someone I know is coming to the U of C. Strange. A little surprising. Definitely strange. I can't believe that I'm going to be a senior though. I don't look like a senior in college! People probably think I'm a senior in high school. Oh well... this will definitely be an interesting year in school. I can feel it already.

I think I should go get something to eat.
