Blogging two days in a row. Wow. Amazing.

I went downtown today to have lunch with Toru. He is so funny. We went to A|X to look at t-shirts (they really do make good t-shirts) and he found something that he liked. As he was trying on his shirt, one of the guys working in the store asked me if I was from Palo Alto because Toru had made a comment about the weather in Palo Alto. I said, "no, I'm from Chicago" and then he asked me where I go to school and I said, "The University of Chicago." Then he asked if Toru also went to the U of C and I said, "No, he goes to Stanford." Then the guy was in like a mini state of shock. I don't know why though. It was mildly amusing. But I think he thought Toru and I were a couple. ha ha ha ha... that's pretty funny. (No offense to Toru, but it's just funny. Kind of like how someone once thought Xander was my new boyfriend. ha ha..)

There is one of the most amazing photography exhibits going on right now at Millenium Park. If you have a chance to see it, you should because some of the pictures are rather breath-taking. However, I STRONGLY advise you to go when it is not sunny outside because you will sizzle and melt. Seriously. Even if there is a lake breeze, you will still sizzle.

I voted for Kelly last night. So did Liz and Andy. Together, the three of us voted at least 10-15 times. She better not get kicked off, otherwise, I will be TRULY convinced that there is something seriously wrong with the voting system. That or the people who are voting do not know how to judge a good singer.

All right, my right shoulder is killing me. I have yet to figure out why. I wonder where I'll be sleeping this weekend... hee hee hee... Oooh! I get to watch Law & Order while I'm in NY! Hooray!! so exciting....

by the way, don't you think it's strange to pack porkchops to New York? I do. Frank, clear out your fridge.

Some of the attending doctors and the nurses are a riot. Today, one of the attending doctors (she isn't on call) asked me when I start class. I said, "I don't start until another month. U of C starts Sept. 30." And a nurse nearby heard this and went, "What!?" and I explained to her and the attending that supposedly, U of C pushed back the calendar by a week. So we start in October (pretty much) and end mid-June. Then the attending goes, "That's so stupid!" and I laughed. And she goes, "U of C is so stupid. Why would you do that? So you're left here and all your friends are back at school?" and I nodded. It was entertaining....

Work has been okay. I'm almost done updating the spreadsheet and I created my template that I needed to! Woo hoo! It's kind of ghetto though, but I think it will suffice for now (until I learn how to better master Excel.)

I finished the Two Towers and I'm pretty much done with Return of the King. MUCH better than Fellowship of the Ring, even though I didn't read the book. But I can tell from the storylines that the second and third movies in the trilogy are going to be a lot more exciting and amazing.

Wow. I leave in a couple of days. I wonder if I'm going to fight Frank for the computer to blog... ha ha! yeah right. I wonder if he's going to blog while I'm there... on a side note (this is to Frank) Ma said she sees Ching Yeh advertised in the paper ALL the time! ha ha ha... They want to do take out from there. It should be interesting...

Okay, I think that's it for me. A long couple of days ahead for me...
