I survived the night. Oh my goodness! there were definitely moments where I realized I was trying to reason with a 2 yr. old mind you who is just TOO smart for his own good.

"I don't want to wear pajamas."
"You have to wear pajamas. It's time for bed."
"I don't want to wear pajamas. I don't want to go to sleep. I want to play!"
"No playing, time for bed."
"No. Ahh ee, read my books." Ugh. Needless to say, I ended up reading to someone for an hour and then had to tell him stories in the dark to get him to go to sleep. He eventually went to sleep though so yay for me for getting him to sleep before his parents came home!

I'm a little surprised that Mr. Williams was picked at #5. What does that say though about the Atlanta Hawks? Marvin Williams was totally overrated. The guy totally would have benefited from another year. And I wasn't surprised the Redick wasn't in the top 10 either. It'll be interesting to see him in the NBA. Perhaps I will try to go to a Bulls/Magic game. It'll be like a Duke basketball reunion!

I have such a greater appreciation now for the weekend. I think I'm going to go shopping on saturday and search for my shoes and piano books in the abundant boxes. Living out of a duffle bag is starting to get difficult. Sunday is dinner with the fam and extended fam and then monday, i think it will be back to suburbia to begin unpacking and attemping to decorate. Fun times ahead folks, fun times.

My feet are in pain. I think it's time for me to get a new pair of shoes! =) Gosh, i love having an income again, albeit a small one because it's an excuse to shop! oh shoe shopping... how i've missed thee.

blog later.

summerfest anyone? I will make it up to Wisconsin at some point this summer 'cuz you know it will be so much more fun being in Wisconsin as a TOURIST than as a RESIDENT!

I just realized that I will be baby-sitting Wed. night during the draft. Thank goodness my sister has cable. Hopefully, someone will let me watch the first few picks.

And contrary to what others may say, I'm not a die-hard Sox fan or "Sox-a-holic." When you are surrounded by Sox fans though, rooting for the home team inevitably rubs off. Everyone knows though that deep down, I'm a Cameron Crazie wannabe.

I hate driving. It's starting to rank up there with packing.
