Exciting times folks, exciting times.

So! I've made up my mind and I'm not going to try and find a real job this summer. I plan to really become a Gap Inc. slave and hopefully Gap, Old Navy or Banana Republic will hire me this summer. If not, then onto the department stores. With my ridiculously strange schedule, there's no way I'm going to find a normal job thus retail, here I come! On the bright side, I do have one part time job lined up and that one actually pays more than $9/hr!! Yay!

Mama is down with the plan for the summer which will be nice so she won't be heckling me. I'm hoping to have all the wallpaper out of the condo by the end of May so it looks like I might be living in Downers Grove when I first leave Madison. Hopefully all those hours of watching Trading Spaces and Designer Challenge will pay off. I'm still trying to come up with a color scheme and there are so many things I want to do when it comes to furniture!

My laptop should arrive early next week. So exciting...Now I can work in bed and I can have internet when I travel at the end of this month!! I'm starting to wonder if I should have gone with a Sony or a bigger screen but seeing as how I paid for this thing myself and my desktop has held up for the past 6 years (granted, there was a near death experience) I'm feeling pretty good about my purchase. I also had my comp sci friends look over the deal before I bought it so should this thing implode on me, I will come back to yell at them. (Although I did pay for an extra warranty.)

Have I mentioned I hate packing? I'm trying to clean out my closet and clean my apartment and it's so freaking painful! Although I am proud of myself for paking up one shelf and almost cleaning out my bookshelf.

All right, must get back to cleaning and packing. Exciting times folks, exciting times.

Purchases in the last 72 hours: condo and a laptop. =)

I'm excited. Honest, I am. I know I haven't been really showing my enthusiasm about having my own place but I think it will finally hit me when I start my renovations and move in. I can't wait. I've already started thinking about colors and how I want to decorate the living room and my bedroom. And the kitchen! I am going to have so much fun in my kitchen.

*sigh* I had a good weekend. Went out with someone I never thought I'd go out with again. We've been talking and it's been nice. It's nice to have someone to talk to that I can be incredibly open and honest with. And amazingly, he gets it. He knows where I'm coming from on certain levels and then others...wow. If I've learned anything, it's that people change.

I got the part time job I wanted. Yippee! It's nice to know there will be some money flowing this summer. My parents are already thinking about other jobs for me to take on. Goodness. They're good people. Drive me absolutely nuts but they are really great parents.

Saw my FAVORITE person this weekend too and he told me he loved me! All on his own. hee hee...Man, I can't wait to spend more time with him. He's so funny and cute! Goodness. The things that come out of that mouth of his...

Again I've done very little work this week. Oy. Just a little over a month. I can hardly contain my excitement.

I should get ready for bed and attempt to do my homework.
