scene: leaving the parking lot of nordstrom rack at oakbrook

mom: nordstrom rack is a pretty good store.
buhloong: yup, it is.
mom: i didn't realize how close you are to oakbrook.
buhloong: yup.
mom: living so close to these malls, you'll end up spending all your time and money shopping.
buhloong: [silence]

my mom knows me so well.

but alas, i've pretty much gotten everything i need. just need a new black purse (and i think i found a prime candidate!) and some cute gold sandals and then i'm all set. i can't wait for school. i've missed being able to dress like a bum and wear jeans everyday.
