today is april 29th. in less than 3 weeks, summer vacation will begin for me.

words cannot express how much i am looking forward to this summer. i have so many plans. so many things to finish, to start and to purchase!

i just realized that in a few weeks, it will be one year since i've moved back to chicago. it's been an interesting year. i must say that for once, i feel comfortable with the decisions i've made. i have no regrets. throughout college, in the back of my mind, i was always thinking "what if i had gone to wellesley?" or "what if i had gone to NYU?" but ever since last sept, i've never once stopped and asked myself if i made the right decision in moving back to chicago.

i will admit, there have been times i've wondered about med school and if i chose the right path but today i had the most wonderful conversation with a patient/customer that kind of validated things. she was waiting for the pharmacy to open and asked me if i was studying to be a pharmacist. i replied "yes" and she proceeded to ask me how much longer until i was finished. We started chatting and i explained to her how it took me some time to figure out what i wanted to do with my life but that i'm extremely pleased with the path i've chosen. on her way out, she said she enjoyed talking to me and agreed that i made the right choice in becoming a pharmacist.

i'm still recovering from work and the lack of sleep this past week. tomorrow will be another uneventful day as i have tons of studying to do. unfortunately, i took a 2 hour nap afer dinner tonight because i was exhausted and now i'm up blogging.

in any case, since i have nothing better to do, i will share the best things about moving back to chicago.

1) i don't worry about hitting deer when driving to/from work anymore.
2) i actually respect and like my boss.
3) Chinatown.
4) getting to see some of my favorite people on my free weekends.
5) salt on the roads in the winter.
6) more than 2 radio stations i actually will listen to.
7) diversity.
8) good shopping.
9) i work within walking distance of harold's.
10) i'm home.

maybe the next time i can't sleep, i'll post the 10 things i liked about madison. ha ha ha ha ha!!!
